Hi! I’m Evan McHenry.
I’m a writer, editor, and educator based in Brooklyn. I grew up in Kansas and later received degrees in English and Literary Arts from Brown University, where I wrote an honors thesis in fiction and poetry and served as Editor-in-Chief of the satirical newspaper The Brown Noser.
My work has appeared in The Onion, The College Hill Independent, and Topeka Magazine, among others, and my writing has been recognized with the Preston Gurney Fiction Prize, the Preston Gurney Poetry Prize, and selection as the Regional Winner in Literature for the US & Canada in the Global Undergraduate Awards.
I have experience in publishing, education, and media production. If you’d like a copy of my résumé, feel free to email me. If you’d like to see photos of an impressive castle I built in Minecraft, you can also email me.
